The mission of the Campus Youth Council at UC Irvine is to ensure all campus groups engaged with youth programming are following policies, procedures, and best practices that prioritize the safety, protection, and well-being of minors on our campus.

California State Summer School for Mathematics and Science (COSMOS)

California State Summer School for Mathematics and Science (COSMOS)

COSMOS is a 4-week summer residential enrichment program for talented high school students interested in STEM. The program aims to create a community of students who participate in, and contribute, to an intensive academic experience delivered by distinguished UCI faculty and staff.

Esports Bootcamps

Esports Bootcamps

UCI Esports offers 5-day bootcamps for students looking to improve their gameplay in League of Legends and Overwatch. Led by coaches and players of the varsity teams, these programs focus on in-game mechanics, strategy, teamwork, and communication. Each camp also features guest speakers from popular game companies or teams to talk about various career opportunities within the industry.

UC Irvine Sports Camps

Our mission is to provide camp participants of all levels with training and skill development through instruction by NCAA Division I coaches and student-athletes in a variety of sports. Each program is designed to promote sportsmanship, foster appreciation for health and fitness, and increase individual confidence through immersion in a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment. Participants will enhance their training and experience needed to become confident and skilled athletes with an appreciation of the principles necessary to be successful in the game of life.

UCI Division of Continuing Education High School Summer Programs

Experience University Research at UCI Division of Continuing Education allows students to take college-level courses alongside local and international peers. Choose from hands-on courses in some of UCI’s most popular academic areas of study, including Engineering, Business, Environmental Policy & Technology, Finance, Writing, Programming, and Esports.

High School Summer Institute in Law is offered in collaboration with UCI School of Law and is designed for students who want to enhance their college applications, aspire to work in law, or want to learn valuable professional skills.

UCI Rec Kids Summer Camp

UCI Rec Kids Summer Camps are specialized camps for non-traditional sports along with traditional day camps held at the Anteater Recreation Center. Each camper will be introduced to a variety of activities designed to increase self- esteem, teamwork, friendship and creativity.

Writing Project Summer Youth Program

The UCI School of Education’s Writing Project is deeply committed to developing the expertise of classroom teachers and furthering the educational experiences of youth in local communities. This year, we are excited to announce the launch of our Virtual Summer Youth Program! The program will include a number of high-interest courses such as Digital Storytelling, Argument Writing, and Intro to Computer Science, in addition to our usual Young Writers and Young Math/Science classes. All of the classes will be taught by qualified and credentialed instructors, most of whom are UCI Writing Project Fellows.
